Honey Basil Chicken

This was really yummy. The original recipe called for rosemary but that's not a spice that I use very often and didn't see it when I was at the store. I decided that basil might be a nice switch and luckily it turned out great. The honey adds a nice sweet flavor but the balsamic really balances that out!

 

The Fixin's
1 lb Chicken
4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Honey
2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Basil
4 Cloves Minced Garlic
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Let's Cook Dinner
In a bowl mix olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, basil, salt, and pepper until well blended
Pour sauce over Chicken
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet
Cook chicken until no longer pink

****To freeze, place chicken in gallon sized freezer bag
Pour sauce in bag and seal
Label with date and contents
When ready to cook, thaw and cook according to above
